Planning application timescales: change over time by LPA

The Planning Dashboard gives a good snapshot, but it doesn't show whether individual LPA's are improving or worsening in their speed of deciding planning applications. You can see their direction of travel in the 3 tables below:

  1. Major planning applications
  2. Non-major planning applications (less than 10 dwellings or less than 1,000sqm of non-residential floorspace)
  3. Householder planning applications (for the purpose of these figures, excluded from the non-major category above)

Is your Local Planning Authority turning into a Tortoise or a Hare?

While the direction of travel for England as a whole is positive, the detailed picture LPA by LPA varies tremendously. The best and worst are featured on my 17th October blog. For the rest, take a look below:
